  • Making Our Mark   Application Deadline March 15th

Making Our Mark is the exciting new mentorship program from Arts & Disability Network Manitoba in partnership with Martha Street Studio. This program will provide up to 6 local artists with disabilities the opportunity to explore the art of printmaking, digital art and professional art career practices. This initiative is the first of its kind in the Winnipeg arts community, supporting the full inclusion of artists with disabilities within the contemporary arts stream through discourse and skill development identified by the artists themselves. Selected participants will receive technical training, select visiting artists and curators for presentations, full studio access and group directed professional development seminars.

The newly-renovated Martha Street Studio is now a fully accessible and inviting creative space. A new accessible entryway, washrooms and centrally located wheelchair lift, has made Martha Street Studio a more accessible and welcoming space for this city’s immensely talented community of artists with disabilities.

Open to members of ADNM (membership is free for the first year), we are currently accepting program applications. If you are interested in participating, please write one paragraph about your art practice and how you feel you would benefit from Making Our Mark.

    Please send applications to info@adnm.ca
Application deadline is March 15, 2013.

Participation is free to selected participants.

Participating artists will be selected by Martha Street Studio from the applications and follow up interviews/studio visits.

All supplies are included in your registration fee. A pass to visit the exhibition is included in the cost.
